Foo Fighters fará uma longa pausa", diz Dave Grohl à rede BBC

Dave Grohl, líder do Foo Fighters, declarou que o grupo norte-americano fará uma longa pausa, em entrevista concedida ao radialista Chris Moyles, da rede BBC.

O Foo Fighters realizou em 6 e 7 de junho dois grandes shows no estádio de Wembley para mais de 170 mil pessoas e Grohl considera que é o momento adequado para um recesso do grupo. Em um das apresentações, Jimmy Page e John Paul Jones, respectivamente guitarrista e baixista do Led Zeppelin, uniram-se à banda liderada por Grohl para tocar clássicos como "Rock and Roll" e "Ramble On".

"Nós não deveríamos voltar a tocar em Londres por 10 anos depois das apresentações em Wembley, pois já tocamos para todo mundo", declarou o vocalista.

O Foo Fighters foi formado em 1995 pelo ex-baterista do Nirvana, Dave Grohl, após a morte de Kurt Cobain (1967-1994). Os músicos Nate Mendel (baixo), Taylor Hawkins (bateria) e Chris Shiflett (guitarra) completam a atual formação da banda.

Skank lança disco de inéditas em outubro

O grupo Skank lança seu décimo disco, "Estandarte", em 1º de outubro. Com produção de Dudu Marote, "Estandarte" foi mixado por Michael Fossenkemper e masterizado por Bob Ludwig, em Nova York e Portland (EUA), respectivamente.

Segundo o empresário da banda, Fernando Furtado, o Skank acrescentou novos elementos a sua sonoridade tradicional e promove uma ruptura à "trilogia britânica" que o grupo realizou nos discos "Cosmotron" (2003), "Radiola" (2004) e "Carrossel" (2006), marcada por influências de Beatles e dos conterrâneos do Clube da Esquina.

"Ainda Gosto Dela", a primeira música de trabalho do álbum, chega às rádios brasileiras na próxima terça-feira (9). A faixa é uma composição de Samuel Rosa e Nando Reis, que também assinam a canção "Sutilmente", e conta com a participação da cantora Negra Li.

A arte gráfica do álbum ficou a cargo de Rafael Silveira. Suas influências são a publicidade dos anos 40 e 50, o movimento "pop surrealista" e cartunistas alternativos como Robert Crumb e Chris War, entre outros.

Silveira define a capa do novo disco do Skank como o "choque entre a ingenuidade da infância, a demência adolescente e o sarcasmo da vida adulta".

Madonna fará show extra no Rio de Janeiro

A cantora Madonna fará uma apresentação a mais no Brasil, no dia 15 de dezembro, no Rio de Janeiro, informou nesta sexta-feira o site da Live Nation Experience, atual produtora e gravadora da cantora.

Madonna fará outras três apresentações no país. Originalmente, ela faria apenas dois shows no Brasil: um no Rio de Janeiro, no estádio do Maracanã, no dia 14 de dezembro, e outro em São Paulo, no estádio do Morumbi, no dia 18 de dezembro.

Na semana passada, foi anunciado um segundo show da cantora na capital paulista, no dia 20 de dezembro, e agora mais um no Rio.

A procura por ingressos para os shows foi intensa no Rio e em São Paulo, com longas filas dias antes da abertura das bilheterias.
